Houston roof algae removal

Target Dark Roof Algae Stains Without High Pressure

Those black streaks are often organic growth, not dirt that should be blasted away. We use a controlled soft wash approach based on roof material, condition, access and runoff.

  • Algae-focused treatment
  • Low-pressure application
  • Runoff protection plan

What we treat

Roof algae, dark streaks and organic staining

We assess the staining before recommending service because similar-looking marks can come from very different conditions.

Black algae streaks

Dark organic streaking that develops across roof slopes, especially in humid, shaded conditions.

Moss- or lichen-like growth

Visible colonies require condition review and may release gradually rather than disappearing during the appointment.

Serviceable roof surfaces

Asphalt shingles, coated metal and specialty materials are considered case by case based on wear and manufacturer guidance.

Soft wash difference

Treat the growth instead of stripping the roof

High-pressure impact can be inappropriate for shingles, coatings, seams and roof penetrations. Our approach applies a material-appropriate treatment at low pressure and allows it to work on the organic source of the staining.

The plan accounts for gutters, downspouts, solar equipment, painted metals, siding below and landscaping. Application strength, dwell time and rinsing are adjusted to the specific roof and surrounding property.

Important: Algae treatment is not roof repair. Missing granules, coating loss, rust, faded material, old stains and other wear can remain visible. Some dead growth releases naturally with weather after treatment.
